????? Maxine A. Myers, 92, Savannah, Missouri, died Friday, September 30, 2011 at a local health care facility.

????? Maxine Annabelle Myers was born to George Washington and Maymie Wilson on April 27, 1919 in Avenue City, MO. Maxine attended Savannah High School. She married Selby Ambrose Myers, a Savannah native, April4, 1936.

????? The family moved to St. Joseph where Mr. Myers worked, then served in the U.S. Army in WW II, and started his own home remodeling business. Maxine was a traditional wife and mother and valued her home and family. She was a member of both the First Church of the Nazarene and Northside Church of the Nazarene in St. Joseph. As a mother, she was involved through the school and PTA in her children?s education.

????? Maxine found joy in cooking and entertaining friends and her extended family. She is remembered as a kind and loving friend.

????? Maxine is survived by a brother George Wilson of Mound City, MO and his wife Mary; children including Jerry K. Myers of Omaha, NE and wife Pat; Selby Norman Myers of Aurora, CO and wife Pat; and Norma G. Salsberry of St. Joseph and husband Mark. She is survived by six grandchildren: Stacy Rezek of Olathe KS, Ryan Myers of St. Louis, MO, Meredith Myers and Gregory Myers of Aurora CO, and Dustin Salsberry and Travis Salsberry of St. Joseph, by seven great grandchildren, and by numerous nieces and nephews.
