CBS kicks off college football season with Alabama, Texas A&M rematch

Alabama will get another shot at Texas A&M and Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel on Sept. 14 on CBS. (John David Mercer-US PRESSWIRE / May 22, 2013)

Alabama?s much-anticipated rematch with Texas A&M and Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel highlights the CBS Sports? college football coverage this season.

Manziel combined for 343 total yards and two touchdowns to lead the Aggies to a 29-24 victory over the Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa last season. That performance vaulted him into the national spotlight and made locked up his Heisman Trophy campaign.

This year?s game will take place on Sept. 14 at 3:30 p.m. from Kyle Field.

It?s just part of the network?s Southeastern Conference conference coverage. CBS Sports will air 16 SEC games during a 13-week period including two doubleheaders and the league?s title game.
