10 Do's And Dont's For Successful Writers | Content for Reprint

Author: Ruti Yudovich | Total views: 50 Comments: 0
Word Count: 682 Date:

1. Writing is the most fun thing to do once you sit by the computer and start spilling out those words, phrases, sentences, paragraphs, chapters and before you know it, you end up with a whole book in your hand that communicates to other. Writing is like painting with words; it's like taking a scene from a movie, describing anything you see as if you were inside that scene; colors, scenery, emotions, gestures, feelings, thoughts and let's not forget the most important part that makes the scene lively--communication; dialogues. The more dialogues the livelier the scene the more you tell about the characters. Benefit of writing is that you can describe smells and tastes in addition to that. The more the reader experiences these sensations, the more he enjoy the read.

2. Love your characters. Feel for them. BE them. Put yourself in their shoes and from that point communicate to your readers what they think, or what they would say in their own words. Hate them and relay that emotion fully. Make your reader love those you love and hate those you hate.

3. Don't start thinking what would other think about your writing; don't' stop writing by criticizing yourself. Flow with what comes out, don't bother with rules and supposed-to's you hear from "experts". There are no experts. All you want to care about is that you want the readers to feel what you feel, join with you to a journey you created.

4. Write what comes your way, then, think of the frame. The beginning and the end are very important. Once you have the major chapters on the table, then you can start thinking of the appetizers and the desserts. Make sure that there's a thread weaving throughout the book. If you have a message or messages you want to share, repeat them in various ways.

5. Make your characters real, with their weaknesses and strengths regardless if you love them or not.

6. Keep your own voice and your own style. No need to try and write like so-and-so. Believe in your own voice and your own style.

7. Please don't use BIG words just to impress somebody, or show that you have a wide range of vocabulary. If you want to express an exact thought and there's only one word that can express it, then go for it and use it, but the clearer you express your thoughts, the easier it is on the reader. When I flip through book pages and see that the author is too verbose, I just close the book and put it down.

8. When I write, I make an appointment with myself; which means that I can't be bothered by any phone call or visit. I am in the scene all by myself, getting through whatever emotions I go through as I write. I can laugh my heart out, or cry, or even sob. Hey, I'm creating my own movie after all, right?

9. Let people who like what you write flow you power and strengthen you. And try to ignore the rest. Probably what you wrote is not really for them. Or there are other reasons why they don't like it. Who cares! Just don't consult with them. If you feel you need advice on certain things, call those you know will be gentle with you. Listen to their suggestions but always remember that YOU have the last call and if what they suggest don't seem right to you, then ignore it.

10. Write, write, write. And keep on writing. The more you write the better writer you will become. It is like going to the gym. You work those muscle, man! It maybe hard at first, but as you keep doing it and keep reading other works it will get easier and easier and before you know it, words will flow out of you with such a torrent that there will be no problem at all for you to write anything you wish to write and express.

Ruti Yudovich recently released her first novel I Hate to Say Goodbye, based on her early years in Israel. Listen to this: Spotify adds personalized music recommendations

Internet

Spotify

Spotify

With over 20 million tracks, Spotify was never lacking in tunes ? it just needed a decent way to help you discover new songs and artists. And now the popular music streaming service has just that.

The new feature is dubbed Discover and it ? quite obviously ? is there to help you find some sweet sounds. Discover is being added to Spotify's Web player first and it's basically a news feed of sorts. You get personalized recommendations, new releases from artists you follow, playlists shared by friends, instant suggestions based on whatever you're listening to, and so on. (Spotify is even using info from live event tracking service Songkick to suggest shows that you should attend.)

"With the Discover page, we?re making good on our promise of helping you choose what to listen to when faced with millions of songs," says Gustav S?derstr?m, Spotify's chief product officer, said in a press release.

It's unsurprising that Spotify felt pressure to put out a proper music discovery feature, of course. The service claims it has 25 million active users, 6 million of whom are paying subscribers, and up until now those users were forced to rely on third-party services or on an overly simplified "radio" feature in order to stumble onto music recommendations.

As of Wednesday, the Discover feature's rolling out to Spotify's Web player. It is expected to "gradually" hit the desktop and mobile apps as well, the folks at Spotify explain.

Media outlets refuse off-the-record meeting with Holder

Attorney General Eric Holder (Kevin Lamarque/Reuters)

A growing number of news organizations invited to meet this week with Attorney General Eric Holder to discuss the Justice Department's guidelines governing security leak investigations that involve reporters are refusing the invitation citing the meetings' off-the-record status.

A Justice Department official said on Wednesday that meetings with select bureau chiefs will be off the record to "best facilitate the candid, free-flowing discussions we hope to have in order to bring about meaningful engagement."

Holder called the meetings this week as part of a department review directed by President Barack Obama after controversy over the secret seizure of Associated Press reporters' and editors' phone records and secret monitoring of Fox News reporter James Rosen.

But by Thursday afternoon, Reuters, Fox News, CNN, McClatchy and Huffington Post had joined the Associated Press and The New York Times in deciding to boycott the meetings due to their off-the-record status.

"I told folks that I'd be happy to participate if the meeting were on the record. And I offered to bring our First Amendment lawyer with me," McClatchy's Washington bureau chief James Asher wrote in an email to Yahoo News. "So far, no response."

"We would welcome the opportunity to hear the attorney general's explanation for the Department of Justice's handling of subpoenas to journalists, and his thoughts about improving the protections afforded to media organizations in responding to government investigations, but believe firmly that his comments should be for publication," Reuters spokesperson Barb Burg said on Thursday.

"CNN will decline the invitation for an off-the-record meeting," the cable news outlet noted in its coverage of the meeting on Thursday. "A CNN spokesperson says if the meeting with the attorney general is on the record, CNN would plan to participate."

Erin Madigan White, the AP's media relations manager, said in a widely circulated statement on Wednesday that "if it is not on the record, AP will not attend and instead will offer our views on how the regulations should be updated in an open letter."

"It isn't appropriate for us to attend an off-the-record meeting with the attorney general," New York Times Executive Editor Jill Abramson said in a statement.

Asked Thursday if the White House supports holding the meetings off the record, White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary Josh Earnest, during a Q&A with pool reporters aboard Air Force One, referred questions on the ground rules for the meeting to the Justice Department. "They're the ones who are conducting the review. But we are hopeful that media organizations will take advantage of the opportunity to constructively contribute to this process," Earnest said.

When asked a question suggesting that holding these meetings off the record is hypocritical, he said, "No, I don?t actually see that."

So, who is going to the meetings?

Jerry Seib, Washington bureau chief for The Wall Street Journal, wrote in an email to Yahoo News late Thursday afternoon that "at this point, I?m planning to attend." He declined to comment on the boycott.

Los Angeles Times/Chicago Tribune Washington, D.C., bureau chief David Lauter will also attend, a spokeswoman confirmed on Thursday to Yahoo News.

ABC News, a partner of Yahoo News, confirmed its decision to send a representative, but said it will "press for that conversation to be put on the record." (Yahoo News was not invited to participate.)

Representatives for the The Washington Post have told news outlets they will attend.

And Politico is also rejecting the boycott. "As editor in chief, I routinely have off-the-record conversations with people who have questions or grievances about our coverage or our news gathering practices," John Harris wrote in an email. "I feel anyone?whether an official or ordinary reader?should be able to have an unguarded conversation with someone in a position of accountability for a news organization when there is good reason."

The Justice Department did not respond to Yahoo News' request for comment on Thursday on the boycott.

Kenyan police clear protesters - and a drove of pigs - from Parliament's gates

Demonstrators are upset with efforts by Kenya's lawmakers to give themselves a pay raise.

By Fredrick Nzwili,?Correspondent / May 14, 2013

Kenyan demonstrators, some chained to each other, gather near the gate of parliament in Nairobi, Kenya, Tuesday. Police fired tear-gas, water cannons and swung their batons at protesters gathered outside Kenya?s parliament building to pile pressure on the country's legislators to drop demands for a salary increment.

The protests began with a march through Nairobi's streets, with demonstrators chanting and carrying placards critical of Members of Parliament (MPs). Protesters had planned to then go inside and "Occupy Parliament," but that proved difficult after police in riot gear surrounded the building.

The police made 15 arrests, but struggled to control the agitated crowd as well as a drove of pigs ??bearing the inscriptions "MPigs" ? which demonstrators brought to the assembly's entrance. They also covered the ground with pig blood, which the pigs mingled in.

?We want to see resources being directed to service delivery, not meeting the wage bill? of lawmakers, says Morris Odhiambo, the director of the Centre for Law Research International.

According to Mr. Odhiambo, many Kenyans were living in deplorable conditions, because their tax money has either been stolen or paid to undeserving people. Nurses and teachers, who have sought pay increases, have not received serious attention from the government, he says. ?The attempt by MPs to increase their salary emphasizes the highest level of impunity.?

Kenya recently decreased the legislators? annual earnings from $120,000 to $75,000 to rein in the burgeoning salary expenses, following the creation of new state offices by a new constitution. Some analysts were already warning government operations may become unsustainable unless the government controls salaries of state officers.

Disregarding the developments, MPs have demanded an upward adjustment of the salary from the current $6,250 back to $10,000 per month, demands that have angered the public.

?If they can?t take the pay, they should resign. We want to rein in their greed. They have not done any work and we are disappointed they are seeking a pay raise even before they work,? says Mr. Simon Muoki, a young environmental rights campaigner.

?This has been our country?s problem for the last 50 years. MPs have forced decisions ? including their pay ??in disregard of the feelings of those who elect them,? says Jedida Wanjiru, an octogenarian at the demonstrations.

For the past month, the lawmakers have arm-twisted the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC), a government body that?s sets salaries of all state officers. With MPs threatening to disband it, the SRC has stuck to its guns.

On Monday?the commission said it will not increase the salary even with threats and intimidation. Sarah Serem, SRC?s chairperson said the commission?s concern was how to reduce the wage bill so that the savings can be used for development work. She said Kenya's total revenue was $11.8 billion, but the country spends $5.7 billion on salaries.

?This amount is not only huge, but it is unaffordable and unsustainable. It stands in the way of the country?s development agenda,? Ms. Serem told a news conference in Nairobi.

This Custom-Fitted Wetsuit Is the Future of Sports Gear

This Custom-Fitted Wetsuit Is the Future of Sports Gear

It's tough to find a wetsuit that fits you perfectly. Because of the rather intensive construction process brands typically only offer a handful of sizes, and more often than not you end up settling for the best fit available, but not a perfect fit. This little wetsuit company wants to change that.

Carapace Wetsuits, based out of Southern California, has figured out how to make custom-fitted wetsuits for people at normal wetsuit prices. It's kind of the holy grail of manufacturing. Here's how it works. On a website, you are guided with video to take 15 different measurements of your own body. Carapace takes those measurements, applies custom algorithms to them, then puts those numbers into a CAD file, and presto, each panel is the precision cut so when the whole suit comes together it fits all of your body's little freaky weirdnesses just perfectly.

This Custom-Fitted Wetsuit Is the Future of Sports Gear

Carapace sent me a prototype of their wetsuit to inspect, along with some samples of the neoprene it will be using. The materials are all premium quality, including some super soft/flexible Yamamoto neoprene. The suit is constructed like other high-end wetsuits. All seams are blind-stitched, glued, and taped, making an air-proof seal (I tested it by inflating an arm). It has blast-proof knees, sealed wrists/ankles, a magnetic zipper-stop (very cool), and a stash pocket for your keys.

But of course the banner feature here is that it's custom made for your body. With wetsuits, specifically, fit makes a huge difference. Wetsuits that are too loose allow water to flood in, which is obviously bad. Wetsuits that are too tight have a whole range of problems. If they're tight around the arms or shoulders, the suit acts like a Thera-Band, applying resistance to every stroke you take, which greatly adds to fatigue. The seams also wear out more easily when they're constantly pulled on like that, and when rubber is stretched it doesn't provide as much insulation. With a tailor-made wetsuit, though, you're never stuck awkwardly between sizes.

What's more, it's not hard to see how this style of manufacturing could be applied to other things we wear. Shoes would be the ultimate. Most people's feet are two different sizes (mine are almost a full size different), and so they simply buy shoes that are the right size for their bigger foot. Improper fitting footwear can open the door to a whole host of injuries. But what if you could just take some measurements of each of your feet at home, enter them online, and you'd have perfect-fitting shoes every time. It would totally eliminate the guesswork from online shopping.

This same concept could be adopted for helmets and pads, baseball mitts, gloves, even running shirts and pants. You could specify if you want them to be tighter in certain areas for compression, and looser in others for breathability. It might sound like overkill, but remember, the Carapace guys are managing to do it for the same price as a normal wetsuit. Cost being equal, wouldn't you rather wear something that fits you perfectly?

Carapace Wetsuits are in their final days of a Kickstarter campaign, and they are already right on the verge of making their goal. The suits are 3/2s (three millimeter in the thicker parts, 2 millimeter in the thinner parts), but you can get 4/3 if you pay $20 more, which is a steal. The EXO2 "Performance Suit" is currently going for $380, with materials comparable to Xcel Drylock suits. Their top of the line EXO1 is going for $480, which uses the Japanese Yamamoto neoprene (used in suits like Matuse and Isurus), which has an incredible weight-to-warmth ratio. Not cheap, to be sure, but comparable to what you'd pay for a big brand's high-end line. I inspected the materials for both, and they looked good. Assuming all goes well?this is Kickstarter, after all, so take your block of salt?the suits should ship in the fall, just in time for chilly waters. The only big ding against them is that they haven't cracked the algorithms for women's suits yet, but they said that's coming soon (women can try to use the system, but it's possible the hips won't scale correctly yet).

Wetsuits are obviously something of a niche market, but with surfing (and body boarding) becoming more popular every year, that niche is ever-expanding. We hope we'll see this style of manufacturing applied to other athletic gear in the near future. There's simply nothing quite like custom. [Carapace]

Information Technology|Certification Intelligence | Career ...

Information technology news and technical data pertaining to certification intelligence for exam education will be the primary purpose of this report. Many people don?t know the distinction between computer training and certification exam training. I would like to see every one what the differences are. Computer training is class room knowledge with scheduled programs or on line training concerning the job field regarding information technology. I want to explain! You might want to become Server Administrator. To start with you will need some knowledge somewhere to be able to be proficient in the topic and probably purchase a 2 or 4-year level or receive some online education with a professional teacher. You may just want to have a few programs and receive a certificate in this field. This would be considered computer education.

It certification intelligence on exam education is the thing you need in order to be fully prepared to go your certification exam. After computer training you may have a degree or a document but you still don?t have a certification that is recognized by Microsoft, CIW and CompTia or another. If you?ve computer education that qualifies you to be a Server Administrator then you?ll need to get licensed in Microsoft, CIW or CISCO. Certification exam education specializes in preparing you to go your certification exam. An IT Certification exam is unlike any other exam that you have had in school or school. There are two extremely important points to consider when planning for a certification exam. They?re the proper study strategy and having relevant material that concerns the real test that is up to date with all the economy.

You will find just a couple of sites on the web offering Certification examination instruction. The reason why I wrote this article is to give information and details about the most effective resources on certification examination instruction. There are several students of information technology looking this information simply because they are seriously interested in driving their accreditation test on the 1st take to. This article isn?t about marketing but about helping those who find themselves not informed about Certification assessment instruction.

Still another reason for this short article is education concerning information technology certification. There are several universities and on line training about information technology that?ll prepare you for a particular subject or area but there are but a number of areas where you can find information technology accreditation intelligence on exam training.

Say you desire to become a Technician and you study at a school or receive online instruction so that you?re proficient in that area and receive a degree or certificate in that area but you still are not certified until you have a certification test. Despite graduation you will have to plan an certification exam with prometric or pearsonvue as a way to be certified in the field that you wish.

How many places do you know where you can get training on how to complete your information technology certification test. Assessment training is not exactly like computer training. You will need knowledge of how to study on your certification exam and to understand the proper study methods because an IT exam is not the same as the tests in college. You will also need to find out where to get updated material about your certification exam because if you?re learning material that is outdated then you will not pass your certification exam. Certification exam training is essential if you intend on passing your certification exam the first time so you can avoid 2nd and 3rd exam fees.

Some people may already be focusing on the job in the profession they wish, such as a Server Administrator, Desktop Support Technician or a PC Repair Technician. They may have had prior training before work but have never acquired a certification. They probably know their work and are very proficient in their work and field but need a certification because their employer requires it. They do not need any computer instruction. They only need Certification exam education so they can pass their certification exam. I hope you get the picture now. Looking for a great source then visit: billnaugle.com

Inside Iran's presidential election and beyond

Some questions about Iran's June 14 presidential election and beyond:

    DOES THE ELECTION MATTER?

Yes, but not in the ways many people think. Iran's president does not set the country's major policies such as the nuclear program, relations with the West or military projects. All this falls under the ruling clerics headed by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The president acts as the main emissary for the theocracy's positions.

But the president is far from powerless. The post oversees important sectors such as the economy, which needs even greater management as Iran tried to ride out increasingly tighter sanctions over Tehran's nuclear program. The president also has the ear of Khamenei and can help shape strategic policies. Much depends on their relationship. Khamenei and Ahmadinejad had a spectacular falling out, but a president in Khamenei's good graces could have a significant voice in Iranian affairs.

WILL THE OUTCOME AFFECT IRAN'S NUCLEAR PROGRAM?

It won't have a direct effect. The president cannot make any critical changes or concessions. Indirectly, though, the election can have some influence.

Two main theories have been raised. One is that the election could end the internal political bickering of the Ahmadinejad era. This could make the ruling clerics more comfortable in making deals with the West. A second, opposing, prediction is that a seamless front between the ruling clerics and the new president could embolden Iran to take an even more hard-line approach.

The West and its allies fear Iran could be moving toward an atomic weapon. Iran says it only seeks nuclear reactors and technology for energy and medical application. Iran often cites Khamenei's religious edict, or fatwa, denouncing nuclear arms.

HOW DOES THE ELECTION PROCESS WORK?

It's a step-by-step process that is tightly controlled by the ruling clerics.

Candidates first registered with the Interior Ministry. It's essentially an open invitation. Almost anyone can toss in their name. This year, more than 680 did. They ranged from prominent figures such as Former President Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani ? trying to make a comeback after leaving office in 1997 ? to obscure clerics and nonstarters such as Razieh Omidvar, a 46-year-old housewife. Iran's constitution refers to the president using a male term, which is interpreted as prohibiting women from serving.

Eight candidates were cleared for the ballot by the Guardian Council, a 12-member panel that vets candidates for president and parliament based on factors including loyalty to the Islamic system. Surprisingly, Rafsanjani was blocked, suggesting the ruling system was worried about his clout and ability to galvanize reformists.

    WHO CAN VOTE?

There are more than 50 million eligible voters in a population of about 76 million. About a third of the voters are under 30 ? born after the 1979 Islamic Revolution. Minimum voting age is 18, raised from 16 in 2007. Iranians abroad can vote in diplomatic compounds and other polling sites.

    IS IT FAIR?

The main criticism by the West is over the candidate vetting process. Also, the question of whether the final vote is accurate brings divided opinions. Allegations of ballot rigging were at the center of mass protests and riots in 2009 after Ahmadinejad's disputed re-election. Supporters of the Islamic system insist the voting is fair and transparent, although Iran does not allow outside election observers.

WHAT CHOICES DO IRANIANS HAVE THIS TIME?

The rejection of Rafsanjani appeared to undercut momentum for reformists and liberals to regroup after years of crackdowns and pressures.

Of the eight candidates, six are considered closely allied with the ruling clerics. They include a former foreign minister, Ali Akbar Velayati, Tehran Mayor Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf and Iran's top nuclear negotiator, Saeed Jalili. The two more moderate-leaning candidates have not gained the same following as Rafsanjani. They are former nuclear negotiator Hasan Rowhani and Mohammad Reza Aref, vice president under former reformist President Mohammad Khatami.

ARE THERE RISKS OF POST-ELECTION UNREST AS IN 2009?

Iran's opposition movement has been effectively dismantled by years of crackdowns and detentions, including placing Mousavi and fellow presidential candidate Mahdi Karroubi under house arrest in early 2011. There appears to be little spirit for street demonstrations among even the strong dissident factions in Iran, knowing that they will face swift and harsh retaliation from the government. In a pre-emptive move, Iranian authorities have tightened controls on the Internet, which was used as a main coordination tool during the 2009 protests.

Many Americans will take to the road this Memorial Day weekend. Although fuel prices are down in most of the nation compared with last summer, Americans will still spend more than $1.4 billion filling up during their Memorial Day travels, according to a new analysis by the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS). In the?Midwest, refinery outages and maintenance have pushed prices up as much as 68 cents in the past two weeks.

So how can you save money on gas?

"Automakers are churning out more models that are making it easier than ever for consumers to choose fuel efficiency, save money on gasoline, and reduce our oil use,??Josh Goldman, policy analyst for UCS?s Clean Vehicles program, said in a statement. ?When Americans begin planning for their next Memorial Day adventure, they should remember that a great way to have more money to spend on ice cream and sunscreen is to use less gasoline by investing in a fuel-efficient vehicle.??

Futures slide; markets appear headed for down week

NEW YORK (AP) ? Stock futures are sinking and it appears major U.S. indexes are heading for a down week roiled by corporate earnings, good and bad, and confusion about what the Fed will do next.

Dow Jones industrial futures are down 56 points to 15,233. S&P futures have lost 8.9 points to 1,641.10. Nasdaq futures are down 15.5 points to 2,976.75.

Retail shares are falling, led by Sears, after it posted a big loss late Thursday. Gap is falling with investors overlooking a strong quarterly report, and focusing instead on an outlook that disappointed some traders.

Investors on Friday were still trying to figure out how committed the Federal Reserve is to its current stimulus efforts, with mixed signals coming from Chairman Ben Bernanke and other Fed officials.

Finance is an irremovable sector of the rich tapestry of life some say finance is management of finance in a modular scientific format. It is modular as the science extends across public finance, business finance and personal finance. Astute finance managers implement an array of KPIs which may be supported by real time alerts when trading in real time stock markets and exchanges. Financial modules will depending on the trading environment be subjected to risk factors. Time factors influence the timeline which is best suited to buy or sell finance. IRS official at center of scandal put on leave

By Kim Dixon and Patrick Temple-West

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Lois Lerner, an Internal Revenue Service official at the center of the scandal over the agency's extra scrutiny of conservative groups, was put on administrative leave on Thursday after she refused to resign, a senator said.

Republican Senator Charles Grassley of Iowa said new acting IRS Commissioner Daniel Werfel asked for Lerner's resignation.

An IRS spokesman declined to comment on Lerner's status, citing privacy concerns. However, an internal memo supplied by the agency named Lerner's replacement.

An aide to Grassley said Werfel spoke with Grassley's office on Thursday afternoon and conveyed the information.

A bipartisan chorus in Congress had been calling for her to go. Democratic Senator Carl Levin and Republican Senator John McCain had written to Werfel earlier on Thursday calling for her to be removed.

The move comes one day after a defiant Lerner refused to answer questions during a House of Representatives panel hearing into why workers in a Cincinnati, Ohio, field office of the IRS in early 2010 began targeting conservative groups for extra scrutiny when they applied for tax exempt status.

    Lerner oversaw the tax-exempt division.

Her lawyer, William Taylor, did not immediately respond to a request for comment late on Thursday.

Lerner is seen as a key figure in the unfolding scandal that has spawned a Justice Department criminal probe and become a distraction for President Barack Obama as he pursues an ambitious second-term agenda.

Three congressional hearings over the past week have failed to reveal who at the IRS was responsible for the targeting that occurred for roughly 18 months.

On Wednesday, Lerner denied she had done anything wrong, but asserted her constitutional right against self-incrimination.

House Oversight and Government Reform Chairman Darrell Issa has accused Lerner of providing "false or misleading information" to his committee on four occasions last year.

Lerner was the official who first publicly acknowledged the targeting by responding to a planted question about the topic at an American Bar Association conference on May 10.

The admission came before a Treasury Department inspector general report found that workers in the Cincinnati office used "inappropriate criteria" such as the terms "Tea Party" and "Patriots" to target the applications of conservative groups for intense scrutiny.

Lerner was alerted in June 2011 that partisan criteria were being used, and she ordered them changed. They were then changed back in January 2012 to again focus on the policy positions of organizations, but is it not clear who changed them.

"From all accounts so far, the IRS acting commissioner was on solid ground to ask for her resignation," Grassley said in a statement.

He added that Lerner "shouldn't be in limbo indefinitely on the taxpayers' dime."

Werfel, a White House budget official who officially started at the IRS on Wednesday, announced Lerner's replacement in an employee memo on Thursday.

Ken Corbin, a deputy director in charge of the wage and investment division at the IRS, will take over as acting director of the tax exempt organizations unit, Werfel said, without acknowledging Lerner.

Werfel himself took over for Acting Commissioner Steve Miller, who was fired by President Barack Obama over the controversy last week.
